Officials still searcing for regional airport manager
Routt County officials are continuing their search for a manager at the Yampa Valley Regional Airport.
County Manager Tom Sullivan said Monday that the interview committee, which includes city and county officials, is considering five applicants. One of the candidates was among a group that has already been considered for the job.
Sullivan said committee members are looking for someone who is willing to live in a smaller town.
The county has been looking for an airport manager since March, when Aviation Director Jim Parker was asked to resign.
Museum preparing to give annual awards at dinner
The Tread of Pioneers Mus--eum is seeking nominations for the annual Leckenby/Larson Awards to be presented by the museum at a special dinner Oct. 25.
The Leckenby Pioneer Award is given to a living Pioneer in Routt County. The nominee must have a total of 30 years' residency in the county. The recipient must be involved with the community; responsive to community needs, past and present and contribute to the future. He or she is also a representative of the history of the community, as well as an inspiration to the county's youth.
The Stanley L. Larson Award is bestowed on someone who has made a major contribution to Routt County while living here, and has since passed away.

The nomination deadline is 4 p.m. Sept. 30.
Holy Name Catholic Church school registration open
Registration is ongoing for K-12 Faith Formation classes at Holy Name Catholic Church. Classes begin Sept. 22 for K-5, Sept. 25 for high school students and Sept. 28 for grades 6-8. Stop by the parish office, 504 Oak St., or call 879-0671 for more information.
Library invites children
to Hodgepodge story-time
Bud Werner Library invites children ages newborn to five to Hodgepodge story-time, every other Thursday from 3:30-4 p.m. Hodgepodge is a free, drop-in program, and will be offered: Sept. 22; Oct. 6 and 20; Nov. 3 and 17; and Dec. 1 and 15.

GrandKids family festival tickets are available
Tickets are available for the GrandKids Family Fun Festival to be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Strings in the Mountains Music Festival Park. Tickets are $5 for children and $8 for adults and can be purchased in advance at All That Jazz or GrandKids Child Care Center. Event and $10 prize tickets also will be available at the door. Wine-, food-tasting event benefits Perry-Mansfield
Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp is selling tickets for its 10th annual Madness de Vine fundraiser, an international wine- and food-tasting with live and silent auctions. Tickets are $50. Madness de Vine is from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 17 at the top of the Steamboat gondola.
