Steamboat boys soccer falls to Mountain View

The Steamboat Springs boys soccer team got off to a rough start this season with a 9-0 loss to Mountain View on Wednesday in Loveland.

The Sailors, who have only three seniors on the team, were missing several players because of injuries and only suited 13 for varsity.

"It was a rough day," he said.

The game, however, was a nonleague contest and has no bearing on the final Western Slope League standings.

Steamboat (0-1 overall) opens the league season with an 11 a.m. game Saturday in Rifle.

"That's what we're looking at," Bohlmann said about the league schedule. "We will get there."
