Steamboat Springs A 35-year-old woman was arrested early Thanksgiving morning after a man was stabbed multiple times with a kitchen steak knife at his Meadow Lark Condominium, according to police reports.
Linda Anne Samis, of Peter--borough, Ontario, is accused of stabbing the 40-year-old man several times in the upper torso, police Sgt. Dale Coyner said.
Samis was charged with second-degree assault and felony menacing.
The victim was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center, where his stab wounds were stitched, and later released, police said.
The incident was being investigated, and many details were unknown, Coyner said.
He said Samis told officers she met the man at a bar Wednesday night and agreed to go to his home.
Coyner said Samis is not a Steamboat Springs resident and that she probably came to the area from the Front Range area within the past few days.
Samis was staying at the Super 8 Motel with Rick Matthew Manske, 33, against whom she has a restraining order, Coyner said.
Manske was arrested at about 9 a.m. at the motel on suspicion of violating the restraining order.
Samis and Manske were taken to the Routt County Jail, where they were held overnight without bond. They went before Routt County Judge James Gar--recht on Friday morning.
According to court documents, Garrecht set Samis' bond at $10,000 and scheduled her to next appear in court at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Manske's bond was set at $3,000; he also is scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
