¤ Grand opening reception for Studio Gallery 27 featuring work by local and national artists Julie Anderson, Beth Banning, Diane Cionni, Julia Corbett, Max Damore, R.C. Dieckhoff, Michael Conrad, Doron Fishman, Wallace Garrison, Jeffrey Hall, Charley Hart, Michele Ideus, George Krawzoff, Lisa Lala, Janice Lawrence, Connie Norman, Chris Oar, Susan Schiesser, Keri Searls, Susan Thompson, Patricia Walsh, Rob Williams and Jan Willman will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in its new location in Ski Time Square next to the Tugboat Grill & Pub. Art Opportunities
¤ Artists are invited to submit work for the first "January Thaw Art Exhibit" scheduled for Jan. 27 to 31 in the Orange Peel Bicycle Velodome, 1136 Yampa Ave.
Artwork may be any medium (including large outdoor work and video) but must somehow involve "oranges, bicycles, the color orange or all three." There is a $10 entry fee per person for as many as three pieces. A portion of every fee will be donated to Bikes Not Bombs, a nonprofit organization working for alternative transportation and community development. Artwork is due at the venue Jan. 24.
