Steamboat's Pee Wee hockey B team held on for a 4-2 victory against Pueblo on Oct. 29 at Howelsen Ice Arena.

Charlie VonThaden's goal with 24 seconds left in the first period tied the game at 1-1. Alex Elliott netted a goal on an assist from John Wharton to put Steamboat ahead for good with 2 minutes, 35 seconds left in the second period.

Steamboat goalie Connor Brown, who made 17 saves on 19 shots, and a stingy defense were able to turn away an aggressive Pueblo attack, killing off 24 Steamboat penalty minutes.

VonThaden's second goal, on an assist from Michael Samuelson, secured the victory. Pueblo pulled within one goal late in the third and pulled their goalie for an extra attacker. With the net empty, however, VonThaden scored his third goal to complete the hat trick for Steamboat.
