Summer tennis league sign-up begins today

Sign-up for the Steamboat Springs Health and Recreation Association summer tennis league begins at 5:30 p.m. today. The league runs June 13 to Aug. 15, and the cost is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers. Call 879-1828.

Teen, adult tap dance classes to be held

Tap dance classes for teens and adults are being offered Mondays through June 13 at Northwest Ballet Studio. Classes for levels 1 and 2 meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and levels 2 and 3 meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per class. Call 879-6468.

Bowhunter education class will be Saturday, Sunday

A bowhunter education class will be held Saturday and Sunday in the Visiting Nurse Association offices at Yampa Valley Medical Center. The cost is $10, and registration is required by calling 736-0220, 824-7133 or 875-1010.

Dance Theatre taking scholarship applications

Steamboat Dance Theatre is soliciting applications for its dance scholarship program. The scholarships range from $25 to $300 and are available to students on a confidential, financial-need basis. Applications may be submitted by students, parents or instructors and should be sent to Steamboat Dance Theatre, P.O. Box 774284, Steamboat Springs CO, 80477, or faxed to 871-8844. Applications for summer scholarships are due June 1.

Local art vendors sought for annual summer shows

Local art vendors are being sought to participate in any of the fourth annual Art On The Mountain shows this summer. The shows will be held July Fourth weekend, July 30 and 31, August 6 and 7, Labor Day weekend and Sept. 10. The cost is $75 for a 10-by-10-foot booth. Shows take place at the base of the ski area in Gondola Square. Call Nancy at 871-5315.
