Conrath named teen of the month
Steamboat Springs High School senior Katie Conrath is the Optimist Club's March teen of the month.
Katie, 17, maintains a 3.95 grade point average and is active in the school and the community. She is a member of Link Crew, a program that helps high school freshmen transition smoothly into high school life. She also is a member of the school's National Honor Society chapter and its Peer Mediators program.
Homemaker's guild offers scholarship
The Colorado Master Farm Homemakers Guild is offering a $500 scholarship for a female homemaker with an agricultural background who is interested in returning to school to resume her education.
Applications, which must be postmarked by April 15, are available by calling the Colorado Master Farm Homemakers Guild at (970) 359-2299.
Heritage school musicians honored
On March 11, several carloads of musicians from Christian Heritage School in Steamboat Springs traveled to Denver for the Association of Christian Schools' International annual choral festival. Not one of the students imagined they all would return with superior ratings, the highest rating given at the festival. Students were judged in solos, small ensembles, large ensembles and together as a choir.
