Emerald City Opera holding auditions
Emerald City Opera will be holding auditions for this summer's opera production, The Merry Widow (sung in English) at 7 p.m. May 9 in the Moffat County High School Choir Room and at 7 p.m. May 10 at United Methodist Church in Steamboat Springs. Fifteen adult men and 15 adult women are needed. Interested singers should call 879-1996 for more information and to reserve an audition time.
Planned Parenthood offering rapid HIV testing
Planned Parenthood now is offering rapid HIV testing. Results take only 20 minutes. Call 879-2212.
Travis Taber memorial open for donations
Classmates and friends of Travis Taber can dedicate a living memorial of a tree, shrubs or flowers in his memory at South Routt Elementary, where he touched many lives as a student. for 8th-grade career day
Local women are needed as workshop presenters and volunteers for the eighth-grade "Girls to Women" career day April 12. Call Tibby Speare at 870-9707.
Hayden prom group seeks volunteers, donations
The Hayden After Prom Committee is looking for volunteers and cash or prize donations. The committee meets at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in the Hayden High School library. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 70 in Hayden, 81639. Call 276-4728 or 276-3250.
Noxious weed board
is seeking members
Volunteers for the Routt County Noxious Weed Advisory Board are needed.
Interested individuals must live in the county and have some knowledge of the county's noxious weed problems. A letter of interest can be sent by Thursday to Routt County Weed Management, P.O. Box 772830, Steamboat Springs CO 80477.
