"Musical Chairs," the signature art pieces for the 2005 Strings in the Mountains season, is on display through June in a rotating show at Wells Fargo Bank, First National Bank of Steamboat Springs, Alpine Bank, Vectra Bank and the Bank of the West. This summer they will be on display at the Strings Festival Tent. Silent bids for the chairs can be made at the banks or by calling 879-5056, ext. 102. Bidding ends Aug. 13.

New work by Rob Williams and Susan Schiesser is on display at the TEI Modern Contemporary Gallery in the Torian Plum Plaza. Call 879-2240.

"A Sense of Place: Three Colorado Artists Share Their Vision of the Landscape in Their Unique Style" including mixed-media works by Elizabeth Buhr, black and white photography by Ian McVey and landscape paintings by Sallie Smith is on display at the Depot Art Center, 1001 13th St. The exhibit will be on display through Sunday. The Depot Art Center is open from 9 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. Call 879-9008.
