Strings in the Mountains presents: "MUSICAL CHAIRS" -- "Where will you sit?"

"Musical Chairs is this year's theme for the annual Strings in the Mountains Music Festival Silent Auction. To celebrate Strings' contribution of bringing the best music to Routt County for 18 years, five regional artists donated works of art-in the form of unique chairs- for the creative fundraising event. "Musical Chairs' is a
play on the chairs in an orchestra, as well as the childrens' game," Kay Clagett, President and CEO, recently explained, "and each magnificent piece reflects the artist's creative skills and interpretive expressions. Each chair evokes the spirit of music and some can actually play music as well!" Several Steamboat banks will serve
as galleries to display the Musical Chairs. In a rotating show, Wells Fargo Bank, First National Bank of Steamboat Springs, Alpine Bank, Vectra Bank, and Bank of the West will house the chairs for their customers and public viewing. Silent auction bidding will officially began February 7, 2005 at the individual banks, and can be made by phone: 879-5056 x102. There will be opportunity to bid for the commemorative chairs at String's concerts and at the String's office beginning June 27th throughout the summer. Bidding culminates on August 13, 2005.
