Wayne Weber, Gar Williams and Jim Stanko: Vets appreciated

Steamboat Springs American Legion Post 44 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4264 would like to thank Charles Feldmann of Feldmann, Nagel and Oliphant LLC, and the Steamboat Springs Police Department for sponsoring the welcome home celebration for Deputy Dwight Murphy, Detective David Kleiber and Sgt. John Rezzonico.

These men truly deserve the recognition for their tours of duty in Iraq. Each of these men along with their families sacrificed to ensure that the people of Iraq would have the opportunity to enjoy the freedoms of a democracy.

As veterans organizations we also recognize that during the past several years many men and women from Routt County and Steamboat Springs have served in Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia. They unselfishly served their country to not only help these countries pursue democratic ideals, but also to protect the liberty and freedoms that we enjoy. Most came home with little fanfare, and have gone on with their lives, many working right here in our community.

To them we offer a simple thank you and welcome home also.

To those still serving in our armed forces, we appreciate the sacrifices you are making and our prayers are with you for a safe return home.

Wayne Weber, Gar Williams

and Jim Stanko
