Three Hayden girls basketball players were named to All-League teams this season.
Seniors Alycia Boyd and Whitney Bell were selected to the first All-League team, and senior Jamie Waugh was named to the honorable mention All-League team.
League coaches vote players to the respective teams.
The Tigers finished third in District 5 play, but went on to upset Meeker in the district semifinals to advance to the regional tournament for the first time since 1998. Hayden lost to Nucla in the regional final, falling one game short of the Class 2A State Basketball Tour-nament.
On Sunday, Hayden coach Jayme Adams told her team that the 2005 season would be her last with the program. Last season, Adams was pregnant during the season; she gave birth to daughter Justus on March 20.
The responsibilities of having a young family and being a basketball coach were too much for Adams.
"It was a hard decision," Adams said. "What I'm going to miss the most is being around the girls. I'll still be around and be at the games and help out as much as possible, but I can't be the head coach. My family is my priority."
Adams helped lead Hayden to one of its most successful seasons in years during 2005.
The Hayden boys basketball team's All-League selections will be announced at the team's banquet March 29.
