Friday, March 11

12:04 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue. An employee's car was at work but she was missing, and her co-workers were concerned. The woman was located.

12:47 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 1000 block of Merritt Street. Someone put dog poop in a paper bag, lit it on fire, left it on someone's doorstep and rang the doorbell. The homeowner didn't fall for the prank.

1:43 a.m. A drunken pedestrian was reported at the Gondola Transit Center. Police gave the person a ride home.

1:47 a.m. A missing person was reported in the 10600 block of West U.S. Highway 40.

11:20 a.m. An officer was requested in the 400 block of Yampa Street to contact a man with several outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. Officers contacted the man, who then took off on foot. He was caught several blocks away, with help from a deputy in the area, after running into a restaurant.

1 p.m. Theft was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. A woman left her purse in a grocery cart and drove away. The purse was later found in the grocery store bathroom with $24 in cash missing.

1:46 p.m. A search was requested for missing skiers at the Steamboat Ski Area.

2:24 p.m. A civil standby was requested in the 21600 block of Fourth Avenue in Phippsburg.

8:42 p.m. Juveniles reportedly were loitering in Old Town Square. Police contacted the teens and asked them to move along. Business owners in the area have asked that juveniles not hang out on the private property there.

9:44 p.m. A man reportedly was menacing people with a hammer in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers spoke with the people involved, who decided not to press charges.

11:01 p.m. An ambulance was requested in the 1000 block of Highpoint Drive for a 24-year-old man who reportedly dove into an empty pool and broke his back.

11:37 p.m. A vehicle reportedly was toilet-papered in the 1100 block of Longview Circle.
