Auditions to be held for summer theater workshop
Auditions for a summer theater workshop production of "Anything Goes" will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the community theater at the Soroco Middle School in Oak Creek. Auditions are open to singers, dancers and actors who are entering the ninth-grade next fall or older. Applications for set design and construction, costume design and construction, and technical and backstage crews will be accepted during the auditions. Call Barbi at 846-1151 or Bea at 638-0153.
Free workshop being held about MS, relationships
"Couples and MS: Making it Work," a free workshop about the effects of multiple sclerosis on relationships, is from 8:30 a.m. to noon March 19 at Yampa Valley Medical Center. To register, call (970) 241-8975.
Donations being accepted for memorial to Taber
Classmates and friends of Travis Taber would like to dedicate a living memorial of a tree, shrubs and flowers in his memory at South Routt Elementary, where he touched many lives as a student. High school alumni invited to join alumni association
Alumni of Steamboat Springs High School are invited to join the school's alumni association by calling Gail Dudley at 871-3641. The association has a Web page and a mailing list to help people find classmates and friends. The group also is putting out a newsletter in March, so people interested in receiving it should call soon to join.
Women needed to help at eighth-grade career day
Local women are needed as workshop presenters and volunteers for the eighth-grade "Girls to Women" career day April 12. Call Tibby Speare at 870-9707.
Registration opens for soccer tournament
Registration is open for a co-ed indoor soccer tournament for teens ages 14 to 18. The four-on-four tournament will be held Sunday at Steamboat Springs High School. Contact Alec Nelson at 819-0506.
