Perry-Mansfield holding open scholarship auditions

Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp will hold open scholarship auditions for local-area youth, ages 10 and older, March 26. Dance auditions are from 9 a.m. to noon, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Northwest Ballet, 326 Oak St. Theater and musical theater auditions are from 2 to 5 p.m., with registration starting at 1:30 p.m., in the Steinberg Pavilion at Perry-Mansfield. Dancers will participate in ballet, modern and jazz classes. Theater students should prepare two monologues, each about two minutes long. Musical theater students should plan to perform two contrasting songs from musical theater literature. Call 879-7125.

'The Greatest Good' will be shown March 10, 16

In celebration of the centennial of the U.S. Forest Service, the Yampa Ranger District and Hahn's Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District, in partnership with the town of Oak Creek and the city of Steamboat Springs, are hosting free showings of the movie "The Greatest Good" which documents the first 100 years of the Forest Service. Showings during March are from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates: Thursday at the Yampa Ranger Station, 300 Roselawn in Yampa; March 16 at the Oak Creek Town Hall; and March 21 at Centennial Hall, 124 10th Street in Steamboat Springs.

Middle school Study Club seeking volunteers

Volunteers are needed for Steamboat Springs Middle School's after school Study Club. The program runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Any help is appreciated. Call 879-1058.
