Man dies after fall

A 62-year-old man died Thursday night, a day after falling from a second-story window in his Steamboat Springs home.

Neil Siettmann was taken by ambulance to Yampa Valley Medical Center after he fell out of a second-story window of his home at 1130 Blue Sage Drive, Steamboat Springs police Capt. Joel Rae said. Siettmann later was flown to Denver Health Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. He died Thursday from a head injury he suffered in the fall.

Siettmann was inside the house trying to replace the window when he fell through it and onto the asphalt driveway below.

A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church.
