¤ Members of the Steamboat Clay Artisans are holding a Summer Pottery Sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Blue Sky Pottery at U.S. Highway 40 and Pine Grove Road. Mo Valenta, Bill Sanders, Anne Rooney, Eve Partridge, Deb Babcock and others will have new work on display. Call 846-9349.

Opportunities

¤ The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is calling for artists in the Strada D'Arte as part of the third annual Beaux Arts Festival to be held Aug. 4, 5 and 6. Strada D'Arte is a traditional form of Italian street painting. Artists will design and decorate a concrete square using ground pastel chalk. This is a full-day project. A meeting for anyone interested in participating will be held at 5:30 p.m. July 5 at the Depot Art Center, 1001 13th St. Call 879-9038.

¤ Volunteers are needed for Art in the Park, July 9 and 10, to help set up, staff the merchandise tent and clean. Call 879-9008, ext. 104.

¤ Volunteers are needed for the Steamboat Wine Festival, Aug. 3 to 7, to help with set-up, wine seminars, wine-maker dinners, tasting, merchandise tent and clean-up. Call 879-9008, ext. 104.

¤ "Crafting the Earth: Masterpieces from the Richard Pleasant Collection of Native American Art" is on display at the Tread of Pioneers Museum, 800 Oak St. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Call 879-2214.

¤ Paintings of historic Routt County buildings by former resident Marty Alexandroff are on rotating exhibit through the summer, now at Alpine Bank in Steamboat Springs through July 5. The paintings are part of a summer-long silent auction to raise money for Historic Routt County. Bids can be made online through September at www.silent.donateauction.com/hrc. Call 875-1305.

¤ Cartoons by Aimee Kimmey and photography by Paula Jo Steele and Judy Jones are on display at Mona's Art to Go, 2851 Riverside Plaza, No. 14. Call 870-3400.

¤ Wild Horse Gallery, in recognition of Richard Galusha's retirement after 20 years as the art teacher at Steamboat Springs High School, will feature his work through the end of June. The gallery is in the Sheraton Steamboat Resort and is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Call 879-7660.
