Routt County veterans are encouraged to stop by the Colorado Workforce Office in Sundance @ Fishcreek and visit with the Routt County Veterans Affairs officer.

Annual bike rodeo will be held Saturday
The Steamboat Optimist Club and the Steamboat Springs Police Department host the 22nd annual bike rodeo and swap at 10 a.m. June 25 at the Stock Bridge Transit Center parking lot. Children can test their cycling skills, and free bike check-ups and police bike registration will be offered. Call 879-5283.
Food safety training course is set for Thursday
A food safety training course for restaurant employees will be held June 24 in Steamboat Springs.
The course covers foodborne illness, cross-cotamination, personal hygiene, time and temperature control, and the new no-bare-hand-contact regulation. The course will be taught in English from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and in Spanish from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
The cost is $30 and people must sign up by June 21 by calling (970) 845-0223.
Yampa gearing up for annual July 4 event
Yampa is preparing for its July 4 celebration. The theme is "Yampa Salutes the Workers of America." All workers and working trucks such as cattle trucks, logging trucks, electric trucks, railroad trucks, mining trucks etc... are invited to be in the parade. Volunteers needed to help with run on Saturday
Volunteers are needed to help with the 14th annual Spring Creek Memorial trail race June 25. The Starbucks "Make Your Mark" program will donate $10 per hour for each volunteer to the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.
