12:18 a.m. A man reported hitting a deer with his motorcycle in the 500 block of Hilltop Parkway. Neither the man nor the deer was injured. Officers took a report.

7:01 a.m. A woman reported hearing a man yelling in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Frontage and thought there might be a fight going on. Officers contacted the distraught man and found that he was yelling at himself. Mental health officials were contacted, and the man scheduled an appointment to meet with them.

7:03 a.m. A vehicle reportedly went off the side of Walton Creek Road. There was no damage to the vehicle, and alcohol was not suspected in the accident. The driver had a friend pull his car back onto the road. Officers took a report.

9:16 a.m. A vehicle reportedly was parked illegally in front of the bus stop near Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue. The owner of the vehicle was given a citation.

12:25 p.m. Officers contacted a 37-year-old man for a meeting at the Routt County Jail after they found out that there was a warrant for the man's arrest. The man met officers there, and he was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant.

2:33 p.m. A woman reported a suspicious truck driving up and down the 23000 block of Routt County Road 29 every hour on the hour for a long time and requested that sheriff's deputies check out the vehicle. Everything was OK.

2:59 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 1900 block of Shield Drive.

4:14 p.m. A vehicle that allegedly was trying to beat oncoming traffic at a stoplight at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue reportedly almost hit pedestrians in the crosswalk as it made a turn. Officers took a report, and the situation is under investigation.

4:16 p.m. A 22-year-old man was arrested in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue on suspicion of attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud. A pharmacist called police suspecting the man turned in an altered prescription. The man allegedly changed the number of pills he was supposed to receive.

4:44 p.m. A 44-year-old man was arrested in the 1100 block of Jefferson Avenue in Hayden on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, driving under suspension, driving with expired plates, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

10:14 p.m. A broken-down vehicle was reported on Colorado Highway 131 at mile marker 68. Sheriff's deputies assisted the motorist.

10:53 p.m. A man reported smelling something burning in the 1800 block of Burgess Creek Road. A heat lamp from a construction site had tipped over and burned the side of the building, doing minimal damage. Firefighters extinguished the hot spots on the building. No one was injured.

11:41 p.m. A man and woman were reported yelling in the 3200 block of AprÃs Ski Way. Officers contacted the couple and warned them.
