Tickets now on sale for annual Literary Sojourn

Tickets are now on sale for Literary Sojourn, the premier festival of authors in the Rocky Mountain region. The 13th annual celebration of books and reading will be held Sept. 10 in Steamboat Springs. This year's master of ceremonies is Nancy Pearl, a regular on NPR's Morning Edition. Guest authors are Chris Abani, Haven Kimmel, Patrick McGrath and Ruth Ozeki.

Perry-Mansfield presents 'Cabaret' this weekend

Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp presents the 1998 Broadway revival version of "Cabaret." Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday, and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday. Ticket prices are $12 for adults. The performance is not recommended for children. Call 879-7125.

Sponsor or design a bra for the Bust of Steamboat

The Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project is looking for local artists and sponsors for the 2005 Bust of Steamboat. Design a bra to be auctioned off live Oct. 28 and help raise money for local women. All funds benefit uninsured or underinsured women of the Yampa Valley who are in need of mammograms or financial assistance for breast cancer treatment.

Sponsorships are a tax-deductible donation of $300 to the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project and include two tickets to the event. This year's event will be held at Three Peaks Bar & Grill from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28. Bras will be on display in the community to raise awareness during October.

Breast cancer survivors also are needed as volunteers at The Bust of Steamboat.

Artists needed for summer Art Walks on Friday
