Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers to build

Routt County Habitat for Humanity is building a duplex at 2940 and 2942 Abbey Road in West End Village. Volunteers are needed on week days and weekends to help build the duplexes for two families. Volunteers needed for 'Tour de Steamboat'

Volunteers are need to assist with "Kent Eriksen's Tour de Steamboat" on Aug. 13. The event is a 105-mile, noncompetitive bike tour summiting Rabbit Ears, Gore and Yellow Jacket passes. Volunteers are needed for registration, aid stations and a post-event barbecue. Shifts are about five hours, and volunteers will receive T-shirts and barbecue meals. Call 879-0480 or e-mail

Class of 1975 holding reunion this weekend

The Class of 1975 at Steamboat Springs High School will hold its 30th reunion this weekend. The events begin with a reception at 6 p.m. Friday at Dos Amigos. On Saturday, a dinner and dance will be held from 5:30 p.m. to midnight at the Bear River Bar and Grill. The reunion ends with a picnic from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the community center. Main Street Steamboat looking for volunteers

Main Street Steamboat is looking for volunteers to help with the Downtown Hoedown from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Eighth and Oak streets. Volunteers are needed to help supervise children's games and with the Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament. Also needed are TIPS certified beer-tenders. Call Tracy Barnett at 846-1800.
