Board of Realtors scholarships available
The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors is once again awarding its annual Renewable College Scholarships to students who have previously received high school scholarships from the board. Amanda Lee earns
honors at St. Michael's
Amanda B. Lee, daughter of Linda Laughlin of Steamboat Springs and of Jeffrey Lee of Durham, N.C., was named to the dean's list for the springs 2005 semester at St. Michael's College. Lee is a senior elementary education and Spanish major.
Jason Zopf graduates magna cum laude
Jason Zopf, a 2001 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, graduated magna cum laude from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He earned a bachelor's degree with a double major in biochemistry and chemistry. Zopf was recently elected to the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society. He has accepted a professional research position in the Pediatric Oncology Department at the University of the Colorado Health Science Center in Denver.
Annie Markowitz gets
political science degree
Annie Markowitz, a 2001 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, received a bachelor of arts degree in political science with a minor in business from the University of Southern California. Markowitz has returned to Steamboat Springs and is a concierge at the Sol Day Spa and a sales associate at Touch and Stile.
