POLICE BLOTTER
Friday, Jan. 21
11:45 a.m. Harassing phone calls were reported in the 100 block of Deer Clover Lane.
12:02 p.m. An ambulance was requested in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive for a 73-year-old man having a heart attack. The man died.
3:11 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue.
3:49 p.m. A vehicle reportedly passed a school bus while the bus' blinking lights were on at Fifth and Oak streets. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
6:11 p.m. Someone reportedly hit a deer and fled the scene in the vicinity of Fifth and Oak streets. Police think the deer was one of two that earlier were living off AprÃs Ski Way near the base of the ski area. Police located the deer, which was injured, but opted not to shoot it because it appeared to be running well and because of the safety hazards posed by the close confines of the residential neighborhood.
8:05 p.m. A drunken pedestrian was reported in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue. A man who was kicked out of a bar refused to stop standing outside it.
9:35 p.m. Troopers pulled over a Denver-area woman on Rabbit Ears Pass for a traffic violation. They called police after they found a large number of condoms in her car, a recent check-in receipt from a Steamboat hotel and a how-to pamphlet that led them to suspect she was a prostitute. Police were unable to charge her because they were unable to locate the man involved in the alleged incident.
10:04 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in a parking lot off Fourth Street.
