Fund-raiser will help kids affected by tsunamis

A fund-raiser to help children affected by the tsunamis will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Steamboat Gymnastics.

For a suggested donation of $10 a child, parents can drop children off to play for the day. A bake sale and lunch sale will coincide with the event. All proceeds will go to Unicef. People interested in donating goods for the bake sale can drop items off between 9 and 10 a.m. Sunday. For more information, call 870-0698.

Flu vaccine available for anyone who would like it

Flu vaccine is available at Steamboat Medical Group for those at high risk or anyone who would like a flu vaccine.

'Publishing Online' class offered Wednesdays

Colorado Mountain College will offer several courses during the spring semester for writers interested in getting their work published. "Publishing Online" will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 26 to March 16, and costs $85. "Circle of Writers," a class for people who are in the midst of a writing project and need help improving it or marketing it, meets from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 24 to March 14. Both classes are taught by Edith Lynn Beer. Call 870-4444 to register.
