Man found dead at Steamboat Ski Area

A man in his mid-40s was found dead after a nonavalanche-related ski accident Sunday afternoon.
The man was discovered by skiers on the upper part of Mount Werner at the Steamboat Ski Area.
The Steamboat Ski Patrol and the Routt County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident.
The Sheriff's Office would not release further details about the accident pending notification of the man's family. The man was not a resident of Routt County.
