Church hosting Lenten series starting Friday
Holy Name Catholic Church hosts a Lenten series, "Good News of Reconciliation -- Journeying Home," facilitated by Sr. Faith Hansen, Fr. David Henderson and Msgr. George Schroeder. Meetings will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday to March 18 at the Holy Name Church Family Life Center. No registration is required. Bring a bag lunch. Call 879-0671.
Blood drive Thursday at Yampa medical center
A community blood drive is from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Yampa Valley Medical Center. Call 870-1495 to schedule a donation time or drop in after 3 p.m. Donors will get cookies, drinks and free pizza.
Soroco school teacher conferences Thursday
Soroco High School and Middle School teacher conferences are from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. To set up a conference time, call the high school at 736-2531 or the middle school at 736-8531.
Registration open
for soccer tournament
Registration is open for a co-ed indoor soccer tournament for people ages 14 to 18. The four-on-four tournament will be held March 13 at Steamboat Springs High School. Teams must field two female players. There is a three-game guarantee. The cost is $15 per team, with proceeds going to Steamboat Youth Soccer Association. Educational conference held Feb. 28 to March 4
Routt County Regional Building Department employees will be attending an educational conference from Feb. 28 to March 4, so the department will be operating with a limited staff that week, which may affect inspections and plan review. Customers are asked to plan accordingly.
