Coast Guard Seaman Matthew J. Meinhold, a 1998 graduate of Hayden High School, recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J.
Meinhold is a 2004 graduate of Adams State College.
During his eight-week training session in Cape May, Meinhold completed a curriculum that included academics and practical instruction in water safety and survival and seamanship skills. He also studied first aid, fire fighting and marksmanship.
