Jack and Diane Carter team up for Prudential
Longtime Steamboat Springs Realtor Jack Carter of Prudential Steamboat Realty has formed a working partnership with his wife, Diane. The Carters have lived here since 1976, and Jack has been a broker associate for 20 years. Now, Diane Carter has passed the state exam to become a licensed broker and has joined Jack at Prudential.
Diane Carter previously owned and operated Kinderhaus Family Center for 15 years. The Carters adopted the Yampa Valley long ago, but are proud to hang onto their distinctive Boston accents.
"Our specialization will be as a buyer broker agency with a focus on helping people find that special property to buy at the lowest possible price," Diane Carter said.

Travelers from Chicago ski for cancer research
Steamboat is hosting a group of Chicago-area vacationers through Tuesday, who are dedicated to "Ski for Research."
The annual event is a men-only ski trip benefiting the Davidson-Brin chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation.
The fund-raiser was founded in 1986 by Gerald Brin of Mundelein, Ill., to honor the memory of his nephew Alan Brin, who died of leukemia at age 10.
"Together, we can ski for hope, ski for a cure and ski for life," Brin said.
