The Hayden wrestling team put in a full day of competition at the Olathe Dual Tournament on Saturday.
The Tigers, as a team, competed against five teams in the single-day tournament.
"It was a lot of wrestling," Hayden coach Ty Zabel said. "We wrestled pretty well. The wrestlers learned a lot about determination, perseverance and aggressiveness."
Hayden defeated Norwood and Cedaredge, tied with Rangely and lost to Palisade and Olathe.
Hayden hosts Soroco and Rangely in a 6 p.m. triangular Friday. Rangely won the Carl Ramunno Invitational in Steamboat Springs on Dec. 3. Soroco had the most individual champions at the same meet, so the quality of wrestling Friday at Hayden High School should be great.
The Tigers wrap up the pre-holiday schedule with the West Grand Tournament on Saturday in Kremmling.
