LIFT-UP of Routt County representatives are optimistic for good attendance at their first signature fundraiser.
Tickets go on sale today for the LIFT-UP Christmas Gala at 6 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel.

Cost: Tickets are $60 per person and are available at All That Jazz, Ski Haus and the LIFT-UP thrift store, 718 Oak St. Cash or checks only.
The event will help the organization meet the costs of running its regular programs, including the food bank, thrift store and emergency assistance services.
LIFT-UP's capital campaign for a new facility is going well, with more than $1.1 million in contributions, but there have been fewer donations for ongoing LIFT-UP programs, Executive Director David Freseman said.
He's hoping the Christmas Gala will turn into an annual event for the organization, which faces ever-increasing demands for its services.
More than 20 volunteers have stepped up to help with organizing efforts, decorating and cleaning.
"We've had a great response from the community," Freseman said.
In addition to a gourmet dinner, participants will enjoy music from a five-person Steamboat Springs Chamber Orchestra ensemble and dancing to the sounds of Loose Change.
Round-trip airfare to South America will be among silent auction items.
LIFT-UP programs provide food to clients, as well as assistance paying rent, utilities and medical bills. A client mentoring program helps people become more self-reliant, and the thrift store provides people vouchers for low-cost household goods and clothes.
The organization depends on fundraisers, thrift store funds, grants and donations to operate its programs.
