Volunteers needed for Wild West Air Fest

Volunteers are needed for the Wild West Air Fest, to be held Labor Day Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, at Steamboat Springs Airport. Volunteers will get a Wild West Air Fest admission button and an event T-shirt. Call 879-0882, ext. 203, to volunteer.

Youth singers invited

to rehearse with chorale

Routt County youth singers in grades three through six are invited to rehearse with the Youth Columbine Chorale every Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church. Rehearsals will culminate in a holiday concert to be performed Dec. 8. Registration is $41 through Colorado Mountain College. Downtown sidewalk sale will be held this weekend

Main Street Steamboat Springs will host the annual downtown sidewalk sale during Labor Day weekend. The sales will be held, rain or shine, from Friday to Monday. A Wild West Show Arrival Parade (much like an old circus parade) is at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Steamboat and will feature more than 100 horses. The Buffalo Bill Band will perform outside of F.M. Light & Sons before and after the parade.

Soroco Back to School Night is Wednesday

Back to School Night at Soroco High School and Soroco Middle School is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The high school presentation is at 7 p.m. in the new gymnasium, and the middle school presentation is at the same time in the middle school auditorium. Classroom visitations and Power School guardian presentations will follow.
