Bud Werner library aquarium drawing today
Bud Werner Memorial Library invites families to enter a drawing to win an aquarium full of fish courtesy of Tropical Rockies Aquaria. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. All proceeds benefit the library's youth programs. A winner will be drawn at 6:30 p.m. today at the library. Call 879-0240.
CMC offering free ESL classes for all levels
Colorado Mountain College offers free English as a Second Language classes for all levels. Classes meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays in Willett Hall, Room 302. To enroll, call Jenny le Roux at 870-4534.
Recycle old telephone books until Sept. 15
Recycle old telephone books by dropping them off in the large, cardboard recycling bins set up in front of City Market through Sept. 15. Call 870-7575 with questions.
Catamount Invitational takes place Sept. 7
The Catamount Invitational Golf Tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 7 with a shotgun start. Lunch is at 12:30 p.m., and an afternoon round begins at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $125 including lunch, or $40 for lunch only. Participants are encouraged to make foursomes or to allow event organizers to match them with other players. All proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Catamount fund for women in crisis through the Yampa Valley Community Foundation. To register, call 871-9200.
Tickets on sale for Clay Artisans Soup Bowl Supper
Tickets for the Steamboat Clay Artisans Soup Bowl Supper benefitting the Animal Assistance League of Northwest Colorado are on sale for $18 at All That Jazz, the Depot Art Center and the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter. There are two seatings for the dinner on Sept. 17 at the Community Center at 5:30 and 7 p.m.
Ticket holders receive a handmade ceramic bowl, soup donated by local restaurants, bread, beverage and dessert.
