Friday, Aug. 26

12:26 a.m. A pit bull reportedly was running loose near Eleventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. The dog was picked up and taken to the shelter.

1:10 a.m. Two people reportedly were fighting in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue. One man was taken to the hospital by ambulance after he fell and hit his head on the sidewalk. Both men were given citations for fighting.

1:41 a.m. A loud party reportedly was heard near Ninth and Yahmonite streets. The residents were given a verbal warning.

2:53 a.m. A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Ingles Lane.

6:34 a.m. A wallet reportedly was found in the 1000 block of Central Park Drive.

9:10 a.m. A dispute between two automotive stores reportedly occurred in the 2600 block of Copper Ridge Drive. One business reportedly was accusing the other of stealing its business.

11:30 a.m. A dog reportedly was running loose in the 1500 block of Meadow Lane.

12:13 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident reportedly occurred at 7-Eleven.

2:56 p.m. A man reportedly thought his vehicle was stolen somewhere in Steamboat Springs. Officers took a report. The vehicle has not been located.

3:04 p.m. A man reportedly saw several people spray-painting metal and thought it was "contaminating the air" in the 2500 block of Lincoln Avenue.

7:25 p.m. A woman reportedly heard construction work going on in the area of Hilltop Parkway and Longview Circle. Officers gave the workers a verbal warning.

8:14 p.m. A dog reportedly was barking near Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue.

10:04 p.m. A woman reportedly was receiving harassing phone calls from Florida near Tenth Street and Lincoln Avenue. Officers contacted the caller and told him to stop calling.

11:58 p.m. Three minors reportedly were issued minor-in-possession tickets in the area of Fourth and Maple streets.
