Ski Corp. hosts job fair for winter positions
The Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. will hold its annual locals' winter job fair Thursday.
Managers from most areas of the ski resort, including lift operations, ski and snowboard school, food and beverage departments and the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel, will be conducting on-the-spot interviews with potential employees. Job fair attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a resume and work experience details. The company anticipates openings starting in mid- to late November or early December.
The fair is from noon to 6 p.m. in the Priest Creek Ballroom at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. All open positions at the resort and hotel also will be posted at the job fair or may be found at www.steamboat.com/hr.
Steamboat company in 'Bridging the Gap'
Craig Kennedy and Andy Jehn, co-owners of Access Anything LLC in Steamboat Springs recently picked up a mention in the newsletter of the Christopher Reeve Foundation.
Their new book, "Go Anywhere, Do Anything -- Adventure Travel for People with Disabilities," was mentioned in the publication, "Bridging the Gap," complete with a hot link to the company's Web page.
Travis Gainsley joins
Ski Town Publications
Travis Gainsley has join--ed the staff of Ski Town Pub--lications Inc., publishers of Steamboat Magazine, the Steamboat Springs Visitors Guide, the Steamboat Springs Area Maps, On the Move and the Steamboat Wine Festival Guide.
Gainsley will be an advertising account executive.
Gainsley comes to Steamboat after six years with Scuba Diving Magazine, based in Savannah, Ga., and New York City. He handled accounts including Rolex and American Express. He has experience working with large and small businesses, as well as tourism boards throughout the Caribbean.
