Chamber looking for winter calendar events
The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is asking for event information to be included in the winter calendar of events. The calendar includes events for November 2005 through April 2006.
Information submitted will be available on both Chamber Web sites, the Winter Visitor's Guide, in publications providing visitor information about Steamboat Springs, in various community maps, in news media publications, in press releases and mail throughout the summer.

Habitat for Humanity seeking volunteers
Routt County Habitat for Humanity is building a duplex at 2940/2942 Abbey Road in West End Village. Volunteers are needed on weekdays and weekends to help build the duplexes. for Philanthropy Days
Registration has begun for Northwest Colorado Philanthropy Days, an opportunity for nonprofit leaders in Routt, Moffat, Rio Blanco, Jackson and Grand counties to meet one another, meet Colorado funders, build relationships and attend training panels and workshops. Routt County Fair taking vendor applications
The Routt County Fair is accepting applications for vendors of food, arts and crafts, home-based business items, children's items, garden items, nonprofit booths and others for the 91st annual Routt County Fair. The fair is scheduled from Wednesday to Sunday. Call Jill at 276-3068.
Tickets now on sale for annual Literary Sojourn
Tickets are now on sale for Literary Sojourn, the premier festival of authors in the Rocky Mountain Region. The 13th annual celebration of books and reading will be held Sept. 10 in Steamboat Springs. This year's master of ceremonies is Nancy Pearl, a regular on NPR's Morning Edition. Guest authors are Chris Abani, Haven Kimmel, Patrick McGrath and Ruth Ozeki.
Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at the Bud Werner Memorial Library, Off the Beaten Path Bookstore or by mail via the Literary Sojourn Web site: www.literarysojourn.org.

Arts Council presenting artists' studio tour
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council presents the North Routt County Artists' Studio Tour on from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The self-guided tour will feature 15 artists at nine North Routt studio locations, from Elk River Road to Clark.
Tickets are available at the Depot Art Center for $20 in advance and $25 on event day.
A continental breakfast is included in ticket price, and various restaurants on the tour route will offer lunch specials to tour participants. Call 879-9008.
