Wireless Internet available at Bud Werner library

Bud Werner Memorial Library is the latest location to go wireless in Steamboat Springs. With hotspot service, anyone with a personal computer configured to connect to a wireless network can link to the library's high-speed system. It's rumored that the best reception is found in the loft of the building, but people who sit outside in the grass on the northeast corner of the building also get reception.

Tickets on sale for concert featuring Marcovicci

Tickets are on sale for a benefit concert featuring cabaret singer Andrea Marcovicci performing "If I Were A Bell: The songs of Frank Loesser."

The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Strings in the Mountains Music Festival Tent. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by calling 879-7125. Proceeds benefit Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp.

Youth hockey association looking for coaches

The Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association is looking for coaches and assistant coaches for the 2005-06 season. SSYHA needs people who would be positive influences and role models, are excited to spend time teaching hockey skills to children and are willing to commit to coaching October through March. Ranch horse clinic is

Aug. 19 at fairgrounds

A ranch horse clinic with Don Ulmer is Aug. 19 at the Routt County Fairgrounds, the day before the Routt County Fair ranch horse competition. The cost is $45. Register by calling Marianne Sasak at 879-5214.

Sponsor or design a bra for the Bust of Steamboat

The Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project is looking for local artists and sponsors for the 2005 Bust of Steamboat. Design a bra to be auctioned off live Oct. 28 and help raise money for local women. All funds benefit uninsured or underinsured women of the Yampa Valley who are in need of mammograms or financial assistance for breast cancer treatment.

Sponsorships are a tax-deductible donation of $300 to the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project and include two tickets to the event. This year's event is at Three Peaks Bar & Grill from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28. Bras will be on display in the community to raise awareness during October.
