Sam Haslem: Craig is the best choice
Saturday, August 6, 2005
I feel that the future of water in Northwest Colorado is one of the most important issues that we need to address at the present and plan for in the future.
The communities of Hayden, Oak Creek and Yampa are supporting the candidacy of Dan Craig on the new Regional Water Round Table, and for very good and sound reasons. I feel Steamboat Springs also should support Craig.
Craig is a respected cattle breeder, president of the Routt County Farm Bureau and a person with a strong background in biology. Most of his career was devoted to teaching biological sciences to high school students.
Craig holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in biological sciences and, in addition to this, he is blessed with an abundance of good common sense. He also has served on a statewide Farm Bureau water task force with distinction and is very knowledgeable about Northwest Colorado issues.
It is worthy to note that the Farm Bureau is the largest agricultural organization in the United Sates.
