Soap Box Derby Building Clinic planned
Families interested in participating in the annual soap box derby are invited to attend a Soap Box Derby Building Clinic, hosted by teacher Johnny Walker, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Steamboat Springs Middle School industrial arts room. Call derby director Michelle Petix at 736-2777.
Volunteers needed for after-school Study Club
Volunteers are needed for Steamboat Springs Middle School's after-school Study Club. The program runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Any help is appreciated. Call 879-1058 for information.
Council seeking entries
for SummerArt 2005
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is seeking entries for SummerArt 2005, a multimedia, juried fine-art exhibit, to be held at the Depot Art Center. The entry deadline is May 13. Emerald City Opera has several events planned
Emerald City Opera has several events in the works. The group is accepting scholarship applications from graduating seniors in Northwest Coloradoor continuing vocal study in college.ee a high school music teacher or call the opera at 879-1996. Also, the group's touringini-opera, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," is available for bookings for school assemblies, senior centers and youth groups. Call 879-1996. Finally, registration continues through May 12 forhe Colorado Mountain College opera appreciation course "What's Opera Doc?" Classes are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, May 5 to June.
Summer camp registration open through Friday
Totally Kids is offering a summer day-camp program for children ages 5 through 12. The program will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays starting June 6. The registration deadline is Friday. Call 276-7216 for more information.
