Emerald City Opera holding auditions
Emerald City Opera is holding auditions for this summer's opera production, The Merry Widow (sung in English) at 7 p.m. May 10 at the United Methodist Church in Steamboat Springs and at 7 p.m. May 11 in the Moffat County High School Choir Room. Fifteen adult men and 15 adult women are needed. nterested singers should call 879-1996.
CMC offering horse health management class
Colorado Mountain College offers a "horse health management" class taught by Dr. Michael Gotchey. The class, which covers issues such as immunizations, feeding and West Nile Virus, meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, April 14 to May 12. The cost is $90. Call 870-4444 to register.
Weight control class meets 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays

Council accepting entries for SummerArt 2005
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is seeking entries for SummerArt 2005, a multimedia, juried fine art exhibit, to be held at the Depot Art Center. The entry deadline is May 13. Travis Taber memorial donations being accepted
Classmates and friends of Travis Taber would like to dedicate a living memorial of a tree, shrubs and flowers in his memory at South Routt Elementary, where he touched many lives as a student. BLM signing up vendors, equipment for fire season
The Bureau of Land Man--agement is in the process of signing up vendors and equipment for the upcoming fire season. Individuals and businesses that have equipment and are interested in getting signed up for emergency equipment rental agreements, and vendors interested in providing meals for firefighters, should contact Scott Wintemute at 826-5027 or e-mail at swintemu@blm.gov before April 30.
