'Something's Afoot' musical tickets on sale

The Craig Performing Arts Project is selling tickets for the upcoming play "Something's Afoot," a murder mystery musical. Purchase tickets at the Moffat County Library or buy them at the door. Tickets are $5 for seniors and children and $8 for adults. The performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Moffat County High School Auditorium.

BLM signing up vendors, equipment for fire season

The Bureau of Land Management is in the process of signing up vendors and equipment for the upcoming fire season. Individuals and businesses that have equipment and are interested in getting signed up for emergency equipment rental agreements, and vendors interested in providing meals for firefighters, should contact Scott Wintemute at 826-5027 or e-mail at swintemu@blm.gov before April 30.

Steamboat's Genuine Prom will be Wednesday

Steamboat's Genuine Prom is from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. The cost is $30 per ticket.

The Genuine Prom is designed to honor employees who have worked hard through the winter. The event includes dinner, hospitality awards and dancing to the Nacho Men. Call Gina at 879-0882 ext. 205 to reserve tickets.

Volunteers needed for after-school Study Club

Volunteers are needed for Steamboat Springs Middle School's after school Study Club. The program runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Any help is appreciated. Call 879-1058 for information.

Council seeking entries for SummerArt 2005

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is seeking entries for SummerArt 2005, a multimedia, juried fine art exhibit, to be held at the Depot Art Center. The entry deadline is May 13. Logo contest open to all Routt County students

The Routt County Special Education Advisory Council is holding an art contest open to all students in Routt County public schools.

The contest is to design a logo based on the theme, "All Students Matter."

Top prizes include ski passes for Howelsen Hill, passes for the Alpine Slide, and a private ice skating party. Entries are due Wednesday.

Swim team will host tryouts Tuesday

'Late Night with Cabaret' tickets are on sale

Tickets for this year's Cabaret can be purchased at the Depot Art Center. Tickets are $25 for cheap seats and $35 for better seats; four-person tables, available for the May 5 show only, are $150. Show dates are 7 p.m. May 5, and 6 and 9 p.m. May 6 and 7. Call 879-9008.
