Bereznak to attend leadership conference
Aila Bereznak, a student at Soroco High School, has been selected to attend the 2005 Congressional Student Leadership Conference in Boston.

The leadership program is for students with a record of academic achievement and extracurricular participation. Bereznak will focus on engineering, science and robotics during her time at the prestigious conference.

Bereznak is the daughter of Larry and Tamera Bereznak of Oak Creek.

Christian Heritage auction Friday
Christian Heritage School's annual auction and fund-raiser begins at 6 p.m. Friday at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel and Conference Center. The auction, which is the Steamboat Springs private school's primary fund-raiser to help cover the cost of teacher salaries and student scholarships, features more than 200 items.

The cost to attend the auction and fund-raiser is $25 a person. Corporate tables can be purchased for $225. The silent auction begins at 6 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres. Dessert is at 7:45 p.m. and will include live entertainment from The ZOE Group. For reservations or more information, call 879-1760.

Christian Heritage School is a private, K-12 school funded by student tuition. The school receives no federal funding.

School Board meets

at 6:30 p.m. Monday

The Steamboat Springs School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the George P. Sauer Human Services Center, on Seventh Street. The School Board is scheduled to discuss, among other things, a long-term facilities plan, the district's recent financial audit, an early release schedule for district schools and a potential lawsuit from the Steamboat Springs Education Association.
