The Steamboat Springs boys lacrosse team won its finale of the Border Wars Tour-nament on Saturday in Grand Junction.
The Sailors defeated Juan Diego, Utah, 11-7, in perfect spring weather near the border.
Steamboat improved to 2-3 on the year with the victory.
Jake Flax had four goals for the Sailors. Teammate Danny Carlson had two goals and three assists.
Justin Howard and Gunde Schrock each scored twice and had one assist. Neal Ficker added a goal for Steamboat.
Goalie Yoshi Yonekawa had nine saves to get the win.
"It was a good ballgame for us," coach Bob Hiester said.
Steamboat was scheduled to face Columbine on Monday in Steamboat, but the game has been moved back to April 26 because of field conditions. The Sailors still are scheduled to play Englewood at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Steamboat, but the field site has not been determined.
