10:27 a.m. A vehicle reportedly was abandoned at a business in the 100 block of East Jefferson Street. The owner was contacted.
Wednesday, Sept. 22
12:58 p.m. Kittens reportedly were abandoned in the 200 block of West Jefferson Street.
Friday, Sept. 24
1:45 a.m. A broken water line was reported on Walnut Street near Jefferson Avenue. The water was diverted to a culvert and caused no damage. Schools were closed as a precautionary measure. Public utility workers were able to patch the holes in the line about nine hours later.
Saturday, Sept. 25
6:41 p.m. A theft was reported in the 600 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
Sunday, Sept. 26
1:09 p.m. Police assisted a man locked out of his vehicle in the 100 block of North Fifth Street.
6:36 p.m. A disturbance was reported in the 200 block of South Second Street. It reportedly was two people arguing. They were warned.
Monday, Sept. 27
10:57 a.m. A man called police from North Carolina to report his ex-wife in Hayden was harassing him over the phone. The woman was warned.
3:11 p.m. Kittens reportedly were under a house in the 300 block of Jackson Street.
3:15 p.m. The kittens reportedly were captured in the 200 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
4:21 p.m. Officers captured a dog that had an injured leg and appeared to have been hit by a car. The dog was taken to the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter.
4:21 p.m. Harassing phone calls were reported in the 1000 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
