Forum rescheduled for earlier time Thursday
The time for the State Senate District 8 Forum, featuring Sen. Jack Taylor and challenger Jay Fetcher, has been changed to 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Centennial Hall. The event is sponsored by the Community Alliance of the Yampa Valley and the Western Colorado Congress.
College Fair Night is Wednesday in Craig
The annual College Fair night will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Moffat County High School in Craig. About 25 schools will be represented and all students and parents are invited to attend.
A mini-college fair will be held at Steamboat Springs High School from 2:15 to 3:00 P.M. on the same day in the Career/ College Center. Schools at this fair will include University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado State University, University of Northern Colorado, Fort Lewis College and the Art Institute of Denver. Youth group selling
homecoming corsages
The Steamboat Springs High School El Pomar Youth in Community Service group is selling homecoming corsages for $8 through Wednesday. The club is trying to raise $500 to receive a $7,500 matching grant that will be used to benefit nonprofit agencies.Call 879-5605.
Free homebuyers seminar to be held Thursday
A free homebuyers seminar will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Steamboat Pilot & Today community conference room.
Real estate agents, an insurance agent and a mortgage lender will be on hand to provide information. Call Susan Coover or Joan Hart at 879-8814.
ADD support group
schedules meeting Oct. 7
Parent Connection, a support group for families of children with attention deficit disorder and similar conditions, meets at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Library House. Child care is available with reservation by Oct. 5. Call 871-1678.
Annual holiday market applications available
Applications for the Steamboat Springs Arts Council's annual holiday market, Christmas in the Rockies, are available at the Depot.
The market will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Strawberry Park Elementary School. The application deadline is Nov. 5 or until show is filled. Call Jayne Austin at the Arts Council, 879-9008, ext. 104.
