6:41 a.m. A loose dog set off an alarm at the animal shelter in the 700 block of Critter Court.

8:54 a.m. Panels in the bus shelter were shot out with a bb gun on Central Park Drive.

9:02 a.m. A civil standby was requested in the 700 block of Yampa Street for a truck that was being towed; the owner was on scene.

9:06 a.m. A cell phone was reported stolen in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive.

9:25 a.m. A water pump valued at more than $600 was reported stolen in the 800 block of Weiss Drive.

10:31 a.m. A report was made that more than 20 phone calls that ended in hang-ups were made that morning to a business in the 2800 block of Riverside Plaza.

11:35 a.m. A suspicious smell that could have been from drugs was reported coming from a hotel room in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. Steamboat Springs police investigated and found nothing.

12:05 p.m. A store reported that a habitual shoplifter was in a store in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. The woman had unsuccessfully tried to take an item.

12:41 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near 13th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

1:36 p.m. Police received complaints about large trucks driving through the Brooklyn neighborhood and along River Road.

1:41 p.m. A theft of a purse was reported in a hotel in the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

1:41 p.m. Police arrested a man who is suspected of charging thousands of dollars on a credit card he reportedly stole.

1:43 p.m. A man in Steamboat Springs reported that his credit card was being used in California without his authorization.

1:52 p.m. A building was reported damaged with paintballs in the 2300 block of Ski Trail Lane.

5:16 p.m. A driver reportedly backed into another vehicle and left a note in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

7:07 p.m. Juveniles reportedly were breaking things and being loud in the Eagle Scout Park on Seventh Street. Police checked the area and found everything was OK.

9:16 p.m. A one-vehicle accident was reported near Rockies Way and Steamboat Boulevard. The reporting party said she heard people screaming and a car squeal. The car went into a ditch and stopped next to a tree. The driver fled the scene. The car hit a water valve, and the car had to be towed away.

10:03 p.m. The Steamboat Springs Fire Department responded to an electric service panel that was shooting sparks in the 40000 block of North Star Plaza.

10:23 p.m. Loud music was reported near Park Meadows and AprÃs Ski Way. The group was warned and advised.

10:44 p.m. A verbal domestic dispute was reported.
