Adonna Allen, vice president of Alpine Bank Steamboat Springs, completed the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado on July 30.

The Graduate School of Banking is a three-year program for representatives of financial services firms held at the University of Colorado in Boulder each summer. Students complete a series of research projects related to their own institutions and must pass comprehensive examinations for specific coursework.

Elliott on Appraisal Institute board

Lori Elliott has been appointed to a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. The Colorado Chapter of the Appraisal Institute encourages local real estate appraisers to earn Appraisal Institute professional membership designations and promotes professional, competent, and reliable appraisal services to the property-owning public.

Elliott is president of Elliott Appraisal Services Inc. and has been a general real estate appraiser for more than 15 years. Elliott holds the MAI designation and specializes in commercial, office, industrial, development land, and ranch appraisals.

Realtors donate

funds for agencies

The Colorado Association of Realtors Housing Opportunity Foundation donated $300,000 this year to various housing organizations across Colorado. Locally, the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors donated $3,000 to the following organizations: Horizons Specialized Services, Advocates Against Battering and Abuse, and Routt County Habitat for Humanity. "Our board is pleased to donate to our community, and we encourage development of crisis shelters and home ownership opportunities for individuals and families with moderate and low income," said Jill Limberg of Colorado Group Realty, local chairperson.

Only housing organizations based in Colorado with a 501(c)3 status or that are public agencies are eligible.
