Ski and Resort Corp. videographer retires

Longtime Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. videographer Tom Baer has retired and been replaced by a predecessor, Michael Bie.

Baer has a background in producing high-quality documentaries and was able to capture footage of Steamboat that made TV news and weather broadcasts across North America. Baer became well-known in the community for the personality profiles he shot and edited in honor of recipients of the annual Hazie Werner Award of Excellence.

Baer said he expects to transition into a new career but has no specific plans.

Bie said he is excited to return to Ski Corp. after a 14-year absence. During that time, he worked on network TV crews covering Olympic Games, along with many other assignments.

Magee was born in Boston and graduated from Boston University with a degree in history. He was an insurance salesman for 25 years.
