Former Clark and Steamboat Springs resident Lorraine Brown Sandelin Deering passed away Oct. 10, 2004, in Loveland. She was 70.
Lorraine was born July 18, 1934, in Steamboat to Carl Alfred and Edith Opal Brown. She was educated in Clark and Steamboat Springs, where she graduated from high school.
She married Carl Don Sandelin on July 29, 1953, in Steamboat.
Lorraine later married John Jacob Deering on March 1, 1975, in Gillette, Wyo.
For many years, Lorraine worked as a waitress in Steamboat, Loveland and Longmont. She also was a cashier at Orchard's Ace Hardware in Loveland.
Lorraine moved from Steamboat to Loveland in 1980.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kem Charles Brown.
Lorraine is survived by two sons, William Carl Sandelin and his friend Barbara Wheeler of Steamboat and Lloyd Ray Sandelin and his wife Diane of Steamboat; two sisters, Effie Cross and her husband Al of Loveland and Josephine Cooley and her friend Rod O'Mara of Wasilla, Alaska; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Saturday at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lorraine Deering Memorial Fund in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, CO 80537, or to a charity of choice.
