Business Briefs for Oct. 10

Lisa Adamo, a 15-year employee of Alpine Taxi/Limo Inc., has purchased the company from Marty Waldron. Adamo, who started as a bookkeeper, was vice president of the business for the past few years.

"I'm pleased to own a business that has played such a vital role in the community. For 20 years, Alpine Taxi has provided local and visiting passengers alike with safe, reliable service within the community and around the state. That won't change," Adamo said. "We will strive to offer the same high quality service that has made us Steamboat's largest and most diversified transportation company."

Mark Walker, a 10-year veteran of Alpine Taxi, has been promoted to general manager. Mike Wallace has returned to Steamboat from Denver to become operations manager.
