State patrol finds man who fled accident The Colorado State Patrol found a 24-year-old Oak Creek man in his residence who had fled the scene of an accident early Friday morning. He was found later in his home and was rushed to Yampa Valley Medical Center for spleen injuries, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Lafarge gets provisional permit
Lafarge now has a provisional permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to disturb wetlands for its controversial gravel pit south of Steamboat Springs.

A Steamboat Springs cafe was burglarized sometime Thursday night or Friday morning, less than two weeks after another deli was burglarized.

2:03 a.m. A 19-year-old man crashed his vehicle into a bulldozer sitting on the side of Eagle Ridge Drive. The man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Lisa Adamo, a 15-year employee of Alpine Taxi/Limo Inc., has purchased the company from Marty Waldron. Adamo, who started as a bookkeeper, was vice president of the business for the past few years.
